Some begin with a question, a journey, and a few quietly laid-down casks.
The Black Squirrel Distillery is a long-term independent whisky project — built on patience, story, and collaboration. Each year, we fill a small number of casks by hand at select distilleries around the world, beginning in Scotland and gradually expanding to other whisky- and bourbon-producing regions.
Every cask matures where it was born, absorbing the character of its surroundings. In time, each will be bottled as a rare, single cask release – its origin, story, and journey carefully preserved.
